Cari amici quando attivi gli effetti grafici mi dice Desktop effects could not be enabled. ho una nvidia ge force2 mx 400 e ho abilitato i driver con restrizione[.com]e faccio ???

| Buona sera a tutti, ho letto il tuo post, prima di tutto benvenuto in quelli che invocano i santi per usare ubuntu, se hai "forzato i driver" da amministrazione presumo tu sia nella mia condizione con la ati, non tutto funziona, se hai installato i driver nella guida che ti ha postato Michal c'e' la procedura completa, basta che la segui, una considerazione privata, le guide sono state aggiornate da ubuntu 7.04 quindi potresti trovare dei nomi di files diversi, o addirittura potrebbe non funzionare, te lo dico per esperienza personale. |

| Non sono riuscito a far funzionare gli effeti grafici,ne tantomeno a installare i driver, non sarà perche è una sheda da 32 mb? |

Gamend, segui questa discussione: forum.ubuntu-it, se non riesci a fare qualche passaggio (o qualcosa non lo capisci) riposta che vediamo il dettagio.

xorg.conf è un file di configurazione che gestisce molti parametri, non solo video ma anche "toushpad" ed altro, come funziona? in pratica ci sono i settaggi inseriti in quelle stringhe, quando il sistema si avvia li legge e (se sono corretti) avvia la sessione grafica o (se sono incorretti) vi lascia su di un orribile schermo nero tipo Dos  |

Gamed, apri il terminale e scrivici dentro:
glxinfo | grep rendering
dicci se risponde "yes" o "no"
poi dai questo comando
gedit /etc/X11/xorg.conf
copia ed incolla qui cosa c'è sul testo che si apre.

32 son pochini.[.com]unque è dall'inizio che ti chiedo stò output di glxinfo | grep rendering
Non son un indovino per sapere se hai il rendering abilitato o no..... |

Xorg è un vero macello, e dopo ben 15 post e ripetute richiesete non si sa ancora come'è sto benedetto rendering.
Come pensi ti si possa auitare? Sta discussione sta diventando inutile... |
